steps to service

Information will be collected, and a representative will contact you within 48 hours to answer questions that you might have regarding the process.

INQUIRY

During this step, a representative will come to your home and assess your lighting needs and desires to transform your home. He will show you different lighting options and then walk around the property with you to get your input, as to what features you would like to showcase. The consultant will then set up demo lights for you to help assist with the overall design.

consultation

The design team will create a custom plan for your home and property, including all of the parts, products, and final quote of the project. If approved, a downpayment will be collected; and the installation date will be scheduled.

installation

All fixtures will be permanently installed with wires buried (or hidden) for a clean look. All wires will have barrel-crimped or heat-shrunk connections to ensure ultimate durability and longevity of the fixture. The connection will then be waterproofed by encasing it into a grease tube. This will decrease the likelihood of future corrosion.

The final reveal will take place with the homeowner and the Land Light Solutions representative. This will take place in the evening, and the installer will be ready to make any adjustments, if needed, to your liking.

final adjustment and reveal

There are several reasons to make this kind of investment. Honestly, it’s about one-third functionality and two-thirds esthetics, and the two often overlap. For instance, well-done outdoor lighting will make your outdoor space usable at night; most homeowners are not getting the most out of their properties! Lighting allows you to stay outside with friends and enjoy the time, while helping to keep everything well-lit and safe (functional) and invitingly beautiful (esthetic). It really takes your space to the next level for entertaining purposes.

On the functional side, good lighting increases security and safety. A well-lit home tends to deter prowlers, while at the same time, illuminating the path for you, your family, and guests to navigate the space from the driveway to the sidewalk to the car, etc.

On the more esthetic side, outdoor lighting has massive impact for curb appeal. Lighting elevates spaces. If you think about it, the rooms inside your home that feel the coziest and most inviting probably have a variety of lamp light, indirect lighting, and overall warmth. The same goes for the outside, and this is a chance to extend your warm indoor spaces to the outdoors. People are drawn to homes that look and feel welcoming, whether that be for you, neighbors, or friends and family. Outdoor lighting is your very first chance to capitalize on a welcoming experience for all and to create an atmosphere that fosters the best memories.

The difference in your home will be transformative and will be something you are truly proud to display. Outdoor lighting is our passion, and it has the potential of taking center stage for truly welcoming you home.

why install lighting?

Some people do not see the need to invest in professional lighting and decide to install box-store lighting themselves. While this could happen in a visually pleasing way, in most cases, it is not executed with the desired effect. There are rules to lighting that create the right balance of light and shadows to construct an art form. That’s where we come in! Here are some additional advantages to partnering with us for your commercial light system.

1.      Hassle-free process—This is a turn-key process and installation for the homeowner with continued service plans that keep your system hassle-free for years to come.

2.      Quality fixtures—These are solid brass or copper fixtures that are serviceable. The fixtures and components are commercial grade and are much more likely to withstand weather, wear, and tear. The wiring, connections, transformers, etc., are all designed to last a lifetime. These high-end fixtures provide longevity for your lighting system.

3.      Professional design—We understand the artform of lighting that works with both the light AND shadows to provide beautiful illumination that glows in just the right way.

4.      Customizable plans—Along with the customer’s preferences, the plans can be structured to allow for expansion later, maybe with the addition of a deck or future outdoor space. Each architectural plan is suited for each specific property and works alongside the homeowner’s personal vision.

5.      Execution of installation—We do this for you from start to finish. You will have a qualified, experienced installer that will completely seal and waterproof your system, bury wires, and work through concrete and other difficult terrain without disrupting the integrity of your property.

Professional Lighting?

We offer several warranty plans with varied price ranges and coverages to protect your light system.

l.

All light installations are covered by a one-year limited warranty. If you would like to extend that warranty for further protection, Land Light offers two specialized maintenance plans for your convenience.

A service plan provides peace of mind by guaranteeing functionality of product, esthetic upkeep, and hassle-free longevity.

This plan will cover all maintenance costs for the entire system (bulbs, wires, connections, transformers, and timers), as long as there is not a break in service, and can be transferrable to any new home buyer who wishes to continue service--this is a great selling point to new home buyers!

warranty options for all customers

All newly installed systems will receive a one-year, limited warranty coverage of all lights, wires, connections, transformers and timers, regardless of signing up for the Continual Service Plan.

  • ITEMS THAT WE COVER

    •  Light fixtures installed by Land Light Solutions

    • Transformers installed by Land Light Solutions--The warranty does not cover calls to reset GFCI’s (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter receptacles.) Transformers will not be covered by any warranty if anyone other than a qualified Land Light Solutions technician accesses the panel or corresponding components (other than for the adjustment of the system timer).

    • LED bulbs installed by LLS

    • Low-voltage wire

    • Connections

    • Glass lenses on fixtures (damages that have occurred due to excess heat or fixture defects). The warranty does not cover any broken or scratched glass due to misuse or damage from debris from surrounding obstructions.

ITEMS THAT WE DO NOT COVER:

    • Glass lens covers on integrated and non-integrated fixtures due to anything but heat-related cracking. The warranty does not cover any broken or scratched glass due to misuse or from debris from surrounding obstructions (i.e., landscaping mulch, rakes, etc.).

    • RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) integrated fixtures.

    • Bistro light fixtures

    • Damage consisting of, but not limited to, abnormal wear and tear (acts of God, vandalism, theft, tampering with the lighting system, deliberate/accidental damage of fixtures or system).

    • Claims that occur after the basic warranty expires

    • Service calls: The basic warranty includes only parts, not service calls or labor.

    • Claims or free service calls that occur after a lapse in CSP (Continual Service Plan) coverage due to a disruption in payment schedule or to a discontinued service.

If a client’s CSP (Continual Service Plan) coverage lapses causing them to no longer be in good standing with Land Light Solutions, they can re-enroll into the program after a re-certification inspection has been completed and fees have been paid. Re-certification may require the client to update any damaged or out-of-date components at the cost of the purchaser.

    Notable Definitions of Terms:

Acts of God--any caused damage outside of human control that include but are not limited to: earthquakes, tornadoes, high tides, floods, hurricanes, lightning, hail, or fire.

Vandalism--any abuse sustained by an individual that impedes the function, cosmetics, or longevity of a system.

Tampering--adding to, removing, cutting, adjustments to the overall function (includes but not limited to: replacement of bulbs, re-wiring of connections, and modifications to the original design of the installation).

Accidental damage--This term includes but is not limited to the description of vandalism and tampering. This also includes the destruction, partial impairment, or the overall hindrance of the lighting system.

  • Each new client of Land Light Solutions receives the limited, one-year warranty at no additional charge. However, we offer two additional warranty plans with varied price ranges and coverages to protect your light system. You will have the opportunity to select a plan during the consultation; but you may view the options here, as well.

CONTINUAL SERVICE PLAN – This is a limited, lifetime warranty.

A service plan provides peace of mind by guaranteeing functionality of product, esthetic upkeep, and hassle-free longevity.

This plan will cover all maintenance costs for the entire system (fixtures, bulbs, wires, connections, transformers, and timers), as long as there is not a break in service, and can be transferrable to any new home buyer who wishes to continue service. This is a great selling point for new home buyers!

TIER 1 - Plans start out at $299 per year. (This is a great option for most homes!)

    1.  Voltage check: Each fixture and transformer will be checked for proper voltage to ensure system is in proper working order.

    2. Fixture alignments: Each fixture will be adjusted and secured back to original installation specifications.

    3. Replacements: Replace any broken or warn components (bulbs, fixtures, etc.)

    4. Upkeep and Maintenance: Cleaning and applying rain repellant to fixture glass. Insects, debris, and weather can sometimes reduce or obscure the desired output of the light.

    5. Timers and transformers: All timers will be re-adjusted if needed and transformers will be inspected for loose or compromised wires/connections.

    6. Clearing: Trimming bushes around fixtures (with guidance of the homeowner).

    7. Safety Precautions: Check for exposed wires and connections due to erosion or animal activity

TIER 2 - Regular maintenance checks twice a year (Plans starting at $399)

Tier 2 customers will receive each benefit of Tier 1 plus the following additional benefits:

    1. A 10% discount on any new light installation (some restrictions apply)

    2. Preferred service over non-member clients for emergency repairs

    3. No service fee for non-warrantied repairs (acts of God, accidental abuse, etc.). Parts and labor still apply.
