plans and warranties

one-year, limited warranty for all new clients

All newly installed systems will receive a one-year, limited warranty coverage of all lights, wires, connections, transformers and timers, regardless of signing up for the Continual Service Plan. We offer two additional warranty plans with varied price ranges and coverages to protect your light system. You will have the opportunity to select a plan during the consultation; but you may view the options here, as well.

Limited Warranty Coverage

ITEMS THAT WE COVER:

  •  Light fixtures installed by Land Light Solutions

  • Transformers installed by Land Light Solutions--The warranty does not cover calls to reset GFCI’s (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter receptacles.) Transformers will not be covered by any warranty if anyone other than a qualified Land Light Solutions technician accesses the panel or corresponding components (other than for the adjustment of the system timer).

  • LED bulbs installed by LLS

  • Low-voltage wire

  • Connections

  • Glass lenses on fixtures (damages that have occurred due to excess heat or fixture defects). The warranty does not cover any broken or scratched glass due to misuse or damage from debris from surrounding obstructions.

ITEMS THAT WE DO NOT COVER:

  • Glass lens covers on integrated and non-integrated fixtures due to anything but heat-related cracking. The warranty does not cover any broken or scratched glass due to misuse or from debris from surrounding obstructions (i.e., landscaping mulch, rakes, etc.).

  • RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) integrated fixtures.

  • Bistro light fixtures

  • Damage consisting of, but not limited to, abnormal wear and tear (acts of God, vandalism, theft, tampering with the lighting system, deliberate/accidental damage of fixtures or system).

  • Claims that occur after the basic warranty expires

  • Service calls: The basic warranty includes only parts, not service calls or labor.

  • Claims or free service calls that occur after a lapse in CSP (Continual Service Plan) coverage due to a disruption in payment schedule or to a discontinued service.

If a client’s CSP (Continual Service Plan) coverage lapses causing them to no longer be in good standing with Land Light Solutions, they can re-enroll into the program after a re-certification inspection has been completed and fees have been paid. Re-certification may require the client to update any damaged or out-of-date components at the cost of the purchaser.

Notable Definitions of Terms:

Acts of God--any caused damage outside of human control that include but are not limited to: earthquakes, tornadoes, high tides, floods, hurricanes, lightning, hail, or fire.

Vandalism--any abuse sustained by an individual that impedes the function, cosmetics, or longevity of a system.

Tampering--adding to, removing, cutting, adjustments to the overall function (includes but not limited to: replacement of bulbs, re-wiring of connections, and modifications to the original design of the installation).

Accidental damage--This term includes but is not limited to the description of vandalism and tampering. This also includes the destruction, partial impairment, or the overall hindrance of the lighting system.

continual service plans—tier 1 and tier 2

CONTINUAL SERVICE PLAN – This is a limited, lifetime warranty.

A service plan provides peace of mind by guaranteeing functionality of product, esthetic upkeep, and hassle-free longevity.

This plan will cover all maintenance costs for the entire system (fixtures, bulbs, wires, connections, transformers, and timers), as long as there is not a break in service, and can be transferrable to any new home buyer who wishes to continue service. This is a great selling point for new home buyers!

Tier 1

Plans begin at $299 per year. This is a great option for most homes!

  1.  Voltage checks: Each fixture and transformer will be checked for proper voltage to ensure system is in proper working order.

  2. Fixture alignments: Each fixture will be adjusted and secured back to original installation specifications.

  3. Replacements: Replace any broken or warn components (bulbs, fixtures, etc.)

  4. Upkeep: Cleaning and applying rain repellant to fixture glass. Insects, debris, and weather can sometimes reduce or obscure the desired output of the light.

  5. Timers and transformers: All timers will be re-adjusted if needed and transformers will be inspected for loose or compromised wires/connections.

  6. Maintenance: Trimming bushes around fixtures (with guidance of the homeowner).

  7. Safety Precautions: Check for exposed wires and connections due to erosion or animal activity

Tier 2

Plans begin at $399 per year and include regular maintenance checks twice a year.

  7. Safety Precautions: Check for exposed wires and connections due to erosion or animal activity.

    In addition…
  8. A 10% discount on any new light installation (some restrictions apply)

  9. Preferred service over non-member clients for emergency repairs

  10. No service fee for non-warrantied repairs (acts of God, accidental abuse, etc.). Parts and labor still apply.
